Dr. Elena Andrioti provides therapy services to children, adolescents and adults in international communities. She is of Greek and Lebanese origins and was raised in the UAE. She is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
Dr. Elena aims to reduce distress and improve the psychological well-being of her clients. She uses psychological methods and research to make positive changes in their lives while offering various forms of treatments. Dr. Elena’s work centers on establishing a relationship of trust and respect with her clients in a confidential setting where she empathizes with their concerns and offers support without bias of any issues raised in therapy.
Educational and Professional Background
Dr. Elena studied in the United Kingdom where she obtained a doctoral degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Health Services. She is an active member of the British Psychological Society.
Dr. Elena has worked in different clinical settings in Lebanon and in the United Arab Emirates with a wide range of different mental health disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders and personality disorders. She also consults for various schools around the UAE where she gives recommendations to help students reach their full potential and where she implements various strategies to enhance students’ well-being in the school environment. She works closely with children, families and the community of parents around Dubai by organizing various workshops and support groups including topics like postpartum well-being and various parenting issues.
Dr. Elena is also an active researcher in the field of Psychology and a speaker at various international conferences including Canada, Europe and the Middle East where she presents her most recent research findings in the field of Psychology. She has taught various courses at a university level and has publishes regional and international studies in peer reviewed academic journals.
